{"id":11273,"date":"2021-11-09T15:01:15","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T14:01:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.energyteam.it\/?page_id=11273"},"modified":"2024-04-30T09:20:20","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T07:20:20","slug":"ppc-power-plant-controller","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.energyteam.it\/en\/metering-products\/ppc-power-plant-controller\/","title":{"rendered":"PPC: Power Plant Controller to comply with regulation CEI 0-16"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With Resolution <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arera.it\/allegati\/docs\/21\/540-21.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">540\/2021\/R\/eel<\/a><\/strong>, the Italian Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment (ARERA) requires real-time monitoring of energy generation plants with power greater than or equal to 1 MW connected to medium voltage (MV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to meet this requirement, all owners must equip their plants with a <strong>power plant controller<\/strong> (PPC) by <strong>31 May 2024<\/strong>. This device ensures <strong>direct measurements<\/strong> of the plant\u2019s performance to transmit them to the Distributor System Operator (DSO) through protocol IEC 61850 (the distributor will then send them to Terna).&nbsp;All technical specifications for the PPC are described in the regulation <strong>CEI 0-16<\/strong>, attachments O and T.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-light-color has-primary-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.energyteam.it\/en\/metering-products\/ppc-power-plant-controller\/#form\" style=\"border-radius:0px\"><strong>Get in touch to discover our solutions<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\"><strong>Incentives for upgrading costs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the upgrade of <strong>existing plants<\/strong> \u2013 meaning those operational prior to <strong>31 March 2023<\/strong> \u2013 the Authority has set out the issue of a&nbsp;<strong>one-off contribution<\/strong>, whose amount varies according to upgrade timing. The sooner the upgrade, the greater the incentive available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specifically, the contribution for the installation of the centralised plant controller in existing plants is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>10,000\u20ac<\/strong>&nbsp;with upgrade completed by <strong>31 July 2023<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>7,500\u20ac<\/strong>&nbsp;with upgrade completed between <strong>1 August 2023&nbsp;<\/strong>e il<strong>&nbsp;31 October 2023<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>5,000\u20ac<\/strong>&nbsp;with upgrade completed between <strong>1 November 2023&nbsp;<\/strong>e il<strong>&nbsp;31 January 2024<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>2,500\u20ac<\/strong>&nbsp;with upgrade completed between <strong>1 February 2024&nbsp;<\/strong>e il<strong>&nbsp;31 May 2024<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Those that will not have upgraded their plants within the time frame set by the regulation will be considered non-compliant. The monitoring necessity thus becomes an opportunity for future business developments to the benefit of grid <strong>security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\"><strong>Access CloE to view all data collected by the PPC<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As an integration to the centralised plant controller, on our platform <strong>CloE <\/strong>we developed a specific <strong>app <\/strong>to monitor generation plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PPC, besides transmitting directly real-time data to the energy distributor, sends them also to CloE, allowing for the continuous and <strong>constant monitoring<\/strong> of the information related to the plant and of their successful transmission.
