We invite you to carefully read this Cookie Policy, the Privacy Policy (referred to in full here) and the additional information on the processing of personal data on the Site before interacting with our services.

2. DEFINITION OF COOKIES

Cookies are small strings of text sent by the sites visited and stored on the device used to access the sites. When you visit the same site again, the browser reads the cookies stored on the device and retransmits the information to the site that originally created them.

Our Site too also uses different types of cookies to collect information in passive form and other technologies for reading and storing information on your device in order, for example, to carry out statistical analyses, customize and facilitate your browsing experience and, subject to your consent, to send you promotional messages based on your interests.

3. CLASSIFICATION AND CATEGORIES OF COOKIES

Cookies differ according to the different subjects that install them on the user’s device and their functionality.
Based on the subject that installs them, cookies are divided into:

  • first-party cookies (managed by the owner of the visited site);
  • third-party cookies (managed by a third party other than the owner of the site visited).

Based on their functionality, cookies are divided into

  • technical cookies, essential for the operation of the site and the provision of the services offered by it, they collect information such as the users’ language preferences or allow them to save items during a purchase order;
  • profiling cookies, aimed at creating and / or enriching users’ profiles and used in order to send and / or show advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the web.

Technical cookies can be divided into:

  • navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas);
  • analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager, collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site;
  • functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

Cookies can be temporary (when they are automatically deleted at the end of the connection) or permanent (when they remain stored in the user’s device, unless the user deletes them). Some of the functions of cookies can be delegated to other technologies similar to cookies, such as, for example, web beacons and transparent GIFs; therefore, for the purposes of this Cookie Policy, the term “cookie” refers to cookies and all similar technologies.

4. COOKIES ON THE SITE

Based on the above classification, the Data Controller informs you that the Site uses:

  • technical cookies;
  • own and / or third-party profiling cookies.

No prior consent is required for the installation of technical cookies. Their deactivation may result in the impossibility of proper navigation on the Site and / or the inability to use the services, pages, features or content in there available.

In fact, tools have been adopted that reduce the identifying power of cookies by masking significant portions of the IP. Furthermore, the appropriate Google Analytics settings have been activated so that Google does not cross-reference the data collected with other information it already has.

PREMISE

Hereinafter the owner of the site, Energy Team S.p.A., with registered office in Corso Italia, 3 20122 Milano (MI) – Italy, VAT NO. 11680670152, REA CCIAA Milano 1489629 (hereinafter, “Data Controller”) provides to the users all information about cookies set up on the site https://www.energyteam.it/en/ (hereinafter, the “User” and the “Site”) and the indications for managing their own preferences on them. For more information about the data and the methods of processing, the categories of recipients, the rights of the data subject and the procedures for their exercise, please consult the privacy policy of the Site.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIE

1.1 Definition

Cookies are small text files which the Site visited by user sends to the user’s terminal, where they are memorised in order to be sent back later to the Site during subsequent visits by the user. Cookies are used for many purposes, they have different features and they can be used both by the Data Controller of the Site which the user is visiting and by third parties. The main categories in which cookies can be divided are the following:

  • session and persistent cookies;
  • technical and profiling cookies;
  • first party and third party cookies.

1.2 Session and persistent cookies

Cookies can be erased at the end of a session with the browser (the time period between opening and closing of web browser by the user) or can be stored for a longer term. Session cookies are those allowing the web sites to link users’ actions during a browser session. Session cookies expire when the browser session ends. Persistent cookies are stored in the user’s hard drive among browser’s subfolders for variable period of time and allow to record user’s preference and actions in relation to a web site.

1.3 Technical and profiling cookies

Technical cookies are those used by the Data Controller of a web site for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication on an electronic communications network or, as strictly necessary, for sending to the provider of a service of a company the information explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to deliver that service. For the installation of such technical cookies, the prior consent of the person involved is not required where used directly from the site manager.

Profiling cookies are used to create profiles relating to the user and to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the context of browsing the net. Due to particular invasiveness which such cookies can have within the ambit of users’ privacy, European and Italian legislation provides that the user must be adequately informed about their use by a banner and detailed note on the site and must give his/her own explicit consent to this extent the first time visiting the site and, subsequently, every 6 months, or when one or more processing conditions change significantly or, also, when it is impossible for the website operator to be aware of the fact that a cookie has already been previously stored on the device in order to be transmitted again, during a subsequent visit by the same user, to the site that generated it. Such consent can be expressed by interacting with the banner on the home page of the site and following the instructions indicated therein, or can be given or refused in selective manner by way of the following instructions. This consent is then stored to be used over the next visits. However, the user has always the possibility to withdraw totally or partially his/her consent already expressed.

1.4 First party and third party cookies

Cookies can be first party (so called “first party cookie”) or third party (so called “third party cookie”) in relation to the web site or domain where they come from.

First party cookies are set up and managed by the Data Controller of the site.
Third party cookies are set up by a different domain from that one visited by the user.
